Well, summer officially started yesterday so it should come as no surprise that today is National Hydration Day. It has been estimated that about 75% of Americans are considered chronically dehydrated and that is just plain silly to me! Once those temps start rising it's time to hydrate or die-drate so you should probably give your body exactly what it wants by way of these refreshing finds.

Nalgene 32oz Wide Mouth Water Bottle

It's really easy to stay hydrated when you have a Nalgene nearby at all times and securing one is a great place to start if you're looking to up your water intake. They're BPA free, shatter-resistant, and come in a variety of sizes. Personally, I prefer the wide mouth bottle because it's easier to clean but I have to use one of these SplashGuards to make sure I don't drench my face and neck when I'm really chugging some H2O.

YETI Hopper Flip Portable Cooler

Ice cold friendlies are far more enjoyable than lukewarm libations and that's where this bad boy comes in. It's 100% leakproof, keeps ice-for-days and is just flat out tough-as-nails (as it should be considering that coolers of this caliber are quite the investment). Alternately, this backpack cooler from Coleman doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a YETI but it still gets the job done and it gets it done well.

Nuun Active Hydration Variety Pack

Drinking water doesn't have to be boring when you can doctor it up with a fizzy little tablet! Every time you sweat your body loses vital minerals and electrolytes that are required for optimal hydration. NUUN tablets have always helped me out when that woozy "I'm about to dehydrate" feeling creeps in and I always keep some handy. They're low-calorie, preservative free, absorb fast and they actually taste really good!

Aquagear Water Filter Pitcher

You may not think that water can taste absolutely delicious but that tells me you've probably never treated yourself to some REALLY clean water because, oh my gosh, it is amazing and this Aquagear Pitcher can prove it. It's capable of producing 150 gallons of water with each filter AND it removes 2000% more contaminants than other conventional water filters. Another great perk of this pitcher is that for every purchase, the Aquagear Foundation provides 6 months of clean water to someone who needs it.

Big Berkey Gravity-Fed Water Filter

If you're already a water nerd like me you may be on the market for a constant, reliable source of squeaky clean water and that's where the Big Berkey comes in. This system right here is the big boss of water purification and removes darn near 100% of viruses, pathogens, bacteria, inorganic minerals, heavy metals and pharmaceutical drugs that are commonly found in water supplies. And, since it's a gravity-fed system, it can work it's magic anywhere and everywhere, no electricity, tools or plumbing required.
